“Having met Maisa I feel she has what it will take to serve as Ward 7 Councillor. As a retired councillor myself, I could clearly see that she has what it takes to serve the people. Her concerns and understanding is what is needed and she has demonstrated that she has those going forward”

I am writing to enthusiastically offer my personal character reference and endorsement for Maisa Salhia as she runs for Councillor of Ward 7.  I have known Maisa for more than 20 years, we worked alongside each other in a leadership role at the Mississauga News. We continue to work together as the Board of Directors for a local charity. Throughout this time, I have been continually impressed by their unwavering integrity, work ethic, and genuine dedication to our community. Maisa is a compassionate and driven leader who consistently demonstrates a unique ability to listen to diverse perspectives and find collaborative solutions. I personally saw this in action while working along side her to manage a business unit at our workplace. Maisa always showed good judgment, leadership exhibited remarkable resourcefulness, honesty and patience. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Maisa’s moral compass and civic-mindedness truly set her apart. The  kind of person who is in tune with what is going on in the community, steps up to assist, and treats everyone with equal respect. These qualities are exactly what our community needs in a public servant. I wholeheartedly support Maisa’s candidacy and know she will bring the same level of dedication, transparency, and principled leadership to City Hall.
